Jimmy’s The Coolest Kid On Kid Nation

I decided to tune into Kid Nation last night given all the hoopla and it wasn’t what I expected. I wanted to see some out of control fools running around screaming about anarchy. Instead all I got were levelheaded, rational boys and girls cooking food and cleaning up after themselves. No lord of the flies mischief or pigs’ heads on sticks (unless you count chalk graffiti, but if you do you’re lame). It was like watching an episode of Double Dare on Nickelodeon. There was one bright spot in this yawn-fest, an 8-year-old mop-topped kid named Jimmy. He boo-hoo’d a little about missing his parents and finally said, “I’m just not old enough for this,” and left. He was probably just bored and tired. I don’t blame him.
