Addison Then And Now

The build up for Grey’s Anatomy spin off Private Practice got even bigger last night when the network aired a retrospective, a rehashing of clips that retell the story of where Dr. Addison Montgomery came from and where she’s going. Real fans of the series remember every elevator moment, every apology, and every glance. But, hell, why not waste an hour watching it all over again? It’s like putting on an old sweater, it just feels good. When it was all over I felt as though Addison is ready for this big step and I’m willing to follow her there. But what will keep me coming back is another question. Addison’s villainous side was what intrigued me about her in the first place and if she sheds that persona in sunny L.A. I’m not sure I’ll want to stick around. Until next week…
